Newest animation from class. This unit was about applying the laws of physics to animations, from a ball bouncing to an object accelerating/decelerating, craching into fixed and non fixed objects, etc.
Next we focus on character design and animationm so my next one should be interesting.
Very nice! your animation is so smooth! XD I still don't know how to do that D: it looks really awesome! I've never actually took a class that we used flash.. X_X;; so everything I do in flash is self taught so far. XD uggh you class looks so fun!
Ah, really? Yeah, animation class is really fun. ^^ Its my favorite. I'm not sure how much they've taught you, but this is pretty much what I learned:
I typically (though not ALWAYS) use the Line tool, and work with lines to make shapes, rather than using the Brush tool. It looks cleaner that way...and I always use symbols, and simply Breaking them apart once they're on the screen is the best way to tweak them as I need to. Even using Groups is better than nothing, but having Symbols in the Library is the most convenient way to access parts as you need them. Another thing that we do is use the Grid (which you can turn on in one of the drop down windows at the top of the screen) to draw out an evenly spaced timeline, where you can evenly measure out the amount of distance an object will go every frame, thus making a constant speed. To speed up and slow down, you cut one of these intervals in half, and in half, and in half, as many times as you need to, depending on how fast the acceleration/deceleration needs to be.
...Its kind of hard to explain in words alone. Maybe if I ever get Flash at home, I should make a tutorial...
